In 2009 the FOR HABITAT Trade Fair will enter into its 16th edition. Despite its age, the Trade Fair was undergoing a turbulent period in recent years, but for the last three years it has registered a remarkable development.

The basic figures monitored from 2007 to 2008 for the FOR HABITAT Trade Fair speak clearly:
  • For exhibiting firms: increase by 60%
  • For the exhibition area: increase by 76%
  • For the number of visitors: increase by 70%
The development of this event benefited very positively from the change of the term from May to March, as well as from interconnection with another 4 trade fairs, which has resulted in an increase in the number of exhibitors to 531 within the framework of the entire set of the FOR FAMILY trade fairs. This fact has contributed to the satisfaction of visitors as well. The success of the entire event was supported also by an extended promotion of the set of trade fairs and by presentation of the current family topic /FOR FAMILY/ in printed media as well as on several television channels. We believe this favourable development to continue in 2009 as well.

The development of trade fairs at the Prague LETŇANY Exhibition Centre will be supported, without any doubt, by the newly opened METRO station, directly at the Exhibition Centre. This means that 2009 could be a record year for the Prague exhibition sector.
